Facing difficult state budget battles, competition from rival organizations, and an aging membership approaching retirement, the Tennessee Education Association partnered with Visuality to develop and implement a comprehensive brand plan to improve the association's relationship with its members, its potential members, and the general public.

Visuality conducted numerous listening sessions; helped develop and analyze polling data; and developed a portfolio of messages, images, and communications standards. In addition, we helped create a comprehensive communications plan complete with television, radio and viral videos to revive and revitalize TEA's internal and external communications.

Since the implementation of TEA's relationship-building plan, both member and public perceptions of TEA and Tennessee's public schools have improved dramatically. In addition, the stronger relationships have helped combat potential membership losses due to retirement or resignation from the teaching profession.
